HI, I’M EMILY AKA KOALA, A TATTOO ARTIST BASED IN PORTLAND, OREGON. AFTER COMPLETING MY APPRENTICESHIP IN 2019, I BEGAN WORKING AT LOMBARD STREET TATTOO IN JANUARY OF 2020. MY PASSION LIES IN CREATING TRADITIONAL TATTOOS WITH BOLD LINES AND BOLD COLORS–TIMELESS TATTOOS THAT WILL LAST. I AM ESPECIALLY INTERESTED IN EXPLORING MEDIEVAL THEMES, WESTERN MOTIFS, ART HISTORICAL REFERENCES, FOLKLORE AND FANTASY. I’D LOVE TO HEAR YOUR IDEAS–LET’S MAKE SOMETHING TOGETHER!
Are your books open, how can I book?

Yep, they’re always open.

Use my booking form to request a custom tattoo.

For flash you can schedule here.

How much does a tattoo cost?

A palm-sized tattoo ranges from $250-$350.

A hand-sized tattoo ranges from $450-$650.

My minimum is $150.

The final price is dependent on the detail of the tattoo and the placement on the body.

For large-scale pieces that require more than one session, my rate is $200/hour. I tattoo quickly and efficiently. My prices reflect that.

If you have a budget, please let me know! Most of the time, we can make something happen within your budget!

A $100 deposit is required to book an appointment. It applies to the total cost of the tattoo. It can be paid through Venmo or CashApp. Deposits are non-refundable.

The remaining payment for your tattoo should be made in cash. Lombard Street Tattoo is a cash-only shop with an ATM on the premises for your convenience.

How can I get ready for my tattoo?

Stay well hydrated and eat before your appointment.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the area to be tattooed.

Feel free to bring headphones, a book, water, a snack, or anything you may need during our session.

If you have any questions email tattoosbykoala@gmail.com or call Lombard Street Tattoo at 503-719-6780.

Where is the shop located?
Where can I see your flash?

I have a book full of flash designs in person at the shop that you can choose from on the day of your appointment.

I also have a digital flash book on my website where you can see the majority of my available pieces.

Will I see my design before the appointment?

I draw all custom designs the day before or the morning of the appointment.

This means you will not see the design until your appointment.

I highly value your gut reaction, and we can make any changes you desire at your appointment.

If you’d like to see a design before the appointment you can always choose from my pre-drawn flash designs.

How do I heal my tattoo?

Healing with a traditional bandage:

Leave your bandage on for at least 3 hours, however I typically recommend leaving it on overnight.

Remove your bandage and wash your tattoo with unscented antibacterial soap and warm water. I recommend Dial hand soap or Dr.Bronner’s.

Wash your new tattoo twice a day for the first 2-3 days, and then once daily until healed.

After 3-4 days, your tattoo will begin to peel similar to a sunburn. At this point, begin applying an unscented lotion to your tattoo. I recommend Lubriderm or Aveeno––something gentle and unscented. Less is more––a little goes a long way. Over moisturizing can lead to more scabbing than normal and can prolong the healing process.

Do not go swimming, take a bath, or soak your tattoo in any way while it is healing. Keep it out of direct sunlight until it is healed. Do not pick at your tattoo or scratch it while it’s healing (I know it’s difficult, but trust me).

Healing with Saniderm / second skin:

Leave your first Saniderm bandage on for 8-24 hours. Remove the bandage under warm running water. Wash the tattoo with unscented antibacterial soap such as Dial or Dr. Bronner’s. Pat the tattoo dry with a clean paper towel.

Apply a second piece of Saniderm over the tattoo. Once you’ve applied the second bandage, it can be worn for up to 5 days. You will see some fluid build up under the bandage, this is completely normal. After the 5 days, follow the same instructions for removal as the fist bandage. You can begin applying moisturizer to your tattoo. I recommend Lubriderm or Aveeno–something gentle and unscented.

If you notice redness or skin irritation around the bandage it can be removed earlier. From then, just follow instructions for healing with a traditional bandage.
